HYPERION project participated at the European Geosciences Union (EGU) General Assembly that took place on the 23-27th of May 2022.
On the 27th of May, Antonis Kalis, Project Manager HYPERION project presented at the NH9.3 session “Resilience to natural hazards: assessments, frameworks, and tools” on how to bridge urban development, resilience planning, and heritage management for Climate Neutral and Resilient Historic Urban Districts.(Authors: Ioannis Karaseitanidis, Antonis Kalis, Aitziber Egusquiza Ortega, and Katharina Milde).
While Luigi Germinario from the University of Padova was a convener at the session ERE1.4 “Climate-based and material response-based approaches for the impact assessment of climate change on the frost damage on historic brick walls in Tonsberg, Norway” and presented the work of research and technical development for designing a novel method for monitoring and predicting the weathering of cultural heritage, in particular of stones and timber used historically as building materials (Authors: L. Germinario, C. Coletti, P.Choidis et al.).
The 2022 General Assembly of the European Geosciences Union (EGU) brought together geoscientists from all over the world for one meeting covering all disciplines of the Earth, planetary, and space sciences and HYPERION was honored to take part in two different sessions presenting the research work implemented during the project course.
